The Food Bank of Corpus Christi is one of only two food banks in the State of Texas authorized by HEB to collect perishables from their local stores. In 2006 alone, 889,685 pounds of perishable products, almost 20% of our total food distributions, were perishable products.

PARTNERSHIP WITH

Feeding America
The Nation's Food Bank Network is the nation's largest charitable hunger-relief organization with a Network of more than 200 regional member food banks and food rescue programs.

Marcia Keener was given an award for serving on our board for six years.

Dear All,
Walking out of the Food Bank was bittersweet for me. I walked in the offices at what is now our warehouse six years ago and today walked out of a new facility supporting expanded services to the hungry of the Coastal Bend Region. Our Executive Directors report today emphasized how far we have come. It has been such an honor to serve on the Board of this exceptional organization with each of you. It has also been an honor to work with our outstanding staff. The Food Bank is a highly respected organization due to the integrity and dedication of both staff and Board. I have been on many Boards over the years and can honestly say that I have been most proud to serve with you. Best of luck as you move forward to reach ever higher goals.
~Marcia Keener

Andy Heines was given a plaque for serving as our board President for the year 2008-09.
